Some bits and pieces from the last week or so.

I've had the day off today -my back is sore, I'm not sure what I have done to it, but I seem to have a pinched nerve and the right side of my back and leg is really very painful. Tried to see my chiropractor this morning but he is having the day off.... so I will just have to wait another day - and hit the pain killers for yet another night,

It's been a busy couple of weeks here. Lots of visitors coming and going. Always good to catch up with friends and meet new ones. A couple of us flew our girlfriend Jenni up for 6 days as her birthday present - so good to catch up with her and we had lots of fun visiting other friends, and playing this. I am sure her kids would have never thought they would have seen the day their Mum was playing XBox.
Even I have got a little addicted to "Guitar Hero" - lots of mini competitions in this house, although none of us come near to Chloe in scoring.

Whilst Jenni was here we went to visit our friend Ann at Zilzie. Check out the view from her front yard. Would you ever get sick of looking out over this.

It seems that winter has finally hit the Capricorn Coast this last couple of weeks, and we have been able to light the fire and enjoy the cosiness and warmth of sitting in front of it in the evening and watching a movie or two.
We got to catch up with old friends on the weekend
Tui and Peter lived in here three years ago, before they moved to Western Australia. Tui is over holidaying with her Mum who has arrived from New Zealand. They popped in to see us on the weekend and had dinner with us Sunday Night. We had a lovely evening with them and so enjoyed catching up wth them.

We also managed to make new friends
We had an American billet for a Home stay from the People to People Tour on the weekend. Ashley was the same age as Chloe and the girls got on really well. The American girls were keen to shop, so shop they did with both Chloe and Ashley picking up some bargains. Apparently this was the first chance they kids had got to go shopping in Australia. They are out here on a three week tour.

Have managed to do a little creating this week. I finished off a layout that I started at our retreat. It has been sitting on my desk now for a month. The photo was taken on our 30th Wedding Anniversary.
I have also managed to get a few more tags done for the SofF Hope Tins. I really enjoy doing these tags - and I love that that get used to bless and encourage others. I have had a lot of fun using my new butterfly punch with these tags.Still more tags
It has been a busy couple of weeks, and a very long term.... Only a couple more sleeps and it is holiday time. I am really looking forward to these holidays... looking forward to a break, looking forward to just chilling out. I am looking forward to spending some time with my kids and also catching up with friends and my parents. I also need to do a bit of running around and some planning for our holiday later in the year. It is very hard to fit all these things in when you are working every day, so the holidays are always a good time to catch up on some of these jobs.

I have lots to be thankful for this week. I feel so blessed.

1. I am thankful for my wonderful kids - for their love, for their compassion, and their strength, and their genersity. I am so proud of them, I have been so blessed by them and I LOVF them to bits.
2. Logs of wood burning in our fireplace, that helps to keep us warm and comfortable.
3. Friends both new and old.
4. Secret Sisters, and the opportunity to bless and encourage and pray for them.
5. Lovely surprises - like my trip to Brissie to watch Origin.
6. A great chiropractor.
7. My new dining room setting (even if I do have to wait for it for another 8 weeks). So excited that we will be able to have 8-10 people sit comfortably around it.
8.Psalm 91:1 - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of The Almighty.
9. Long hot showers
10. Holidays - having a job where I get holidays every couple of months.
