Good times, even better times......

Be warned - a HUGE photos share as I document the time spent with those I love.
I'm having an awesome time in Brissie catching up with my kids. It's been a great week. Got to spend a few days with my Mum and Dad on the Sunshine Coast - a very relaxing few days. Then I went to visit this dear friend for morning tea and lunch before I caught the train back to Brissie.
We were very spoilt - she made this special cake for us for Morning tea. Her husband made a yummy lunch for us and it was so nice to catch up,
Barb has just moved into this lovely new home and this was my first chance to visit her there and check it out. It is gorgeous - so Barb. Just loved it.

I caught the train back to Brissie on Thursday afternoon, and on Thursday night I went out for dinner with my son and daughter and son in law to celebrate Pete's birthday (the next day).
We went to this Indian Restaurant (Punjabi Palace) at Southbank. Best Indian Restaurant I have ever been too. The food was great.
I had the Garlic Naan Bread with Chicken Korma and it was mouth watering. Definately going there again. On Friday I spent the day with Pete for his birthday. We spent most of the day in at the Cultural centre. Had lunch together
After lunch we went to the GOMA to see the "Ron Mueck" Exhibition. Definately worth whle visiting and it was pretty reasonable. Adults $12. This is some of the stuff we saw.
This baby was HUGE - the detail was unbeleivable. every wrinkle, every hair, the toe nails and finger nails. Amazing work. One of my favouites.
The "Wild Man" was perhaps Pete's favourite. To give you some idea of the size. Pete is standing next to it and he is over 6 foot tall. The detail was supurb - even moles and pimples, and hair - just unbeleivable. There were 12 pieces on exhibit, and apparently this is a third of all his works, as it takes him a long time to complete each piece. I can totally understand this.

These are some more of his works.
This last one was also one of my favourites. The detail was amazing and these photos just do not do it justice. It is definitely an exhibition worth seeing.
Today was a girlie day, Sarah and I spent the whole day shopping. Pete joined us for a couple of hours this morning whilst we did some birthday shopping for him, and then we met up with these guys. They have been dear friends of mine now since Bec was 2 years old. Now she is the Mum or two delightful girls. Today was the first chance we had to meet the latest addition to the Daley Family. We got to meet Lucy who was just the most delightful baby you could ever wish to meet. She is just so happy and she gave us plenty of smiles.

Sarah and I shopped in a big way today - all birthday presents now taken care of - even Colin's
We both need new glasses so had a great chance to have a good look around and get a second opinion on the frames we have chosen. Wish I would have thought to get a photo of them when we were trying them on. Maybe tomorrow. Sarah has an eye appointment booked.
And after all this shopping, we just had to rest our weary feet by stopping off and having one of these.
We got home with barely an hour to spare before we had to get ready to go out and see this.
We drove into Southbank to see it on the big screen.
The boys joined us too - they just weren't interested in having their photos taken. Might need to hit the sack now to get ready for another big day tomorrow. Love spending time with these guys - it is always full on and hectic though.

Busy times! But certainly look like fun times too.

Punjabi Palace certainly is a great restaurant! The young adults from our church have been there for a couple of dinners in the past and the food is fantastic!

Glad to hear you're having a good holiday!

Mum could not help but talk about how nice it was to see you both. Sarah, you have grown into the most beautiful young woman. A credit to your parents. I only pray that both of my girls will have the same heart as they get older. XX Bek
