Shacked up in the Van again for a week and a bit.

Ah the memories as we pulled out of Rocky last weekend towing our van.
Felt so good to be on the road again, even if we were only going an hour or so down the highway.

We are holiday at Tannum Sands for the Easter break. We arrived last Sunday night and on Monday it just BUCKETED with rain, and I mean BUCKETED. Couldn't really do anything. We even had a river running through our annex. Thank goodness the kids weren't due down until this weekend. A few of the girls and I managed to duck out in the rain early in the morning to do a grocery shop, but the rest of the day was spent indoors just reading. Too wet even to socialize.

Tuesday, the girls went into Gladstone shopping. Always fun, it involves finding bargains, having lunch out, coffee out and just doing things that we don't normally find time to do at home.

Wednesday there was more rain.... not as bad as Monday, mainly showers, and no river through the annex. Thank goodness. Our kids arrived yesterday. Pete and Chloe anyway. Chloe got here at dinner time last night and Pete arrived around 10.30pm. So good to have them with us.

The boys have gone out fishing this morning. Chloe and I have had a jam on the guitar, and now I am chilling out in the air con.

Thought I would share some photos of our set up.We kinda of take up a bit of room with three cars, a caravan and a boat. Great place to camp though cause the sites are large.

This year, Steve put up another tarp at the back of the van, somewhere to put our chairs and just sit and chill out in the afternoon. Helps to keep the van cool too.
Comfortably set up. We should be staying for a couple of weeks.

Most days the guys spend at least half the day out fishing, then have to come and fillet their catch. They have managed to catch a feed each day they have been out so far.

Pete arrived last night. So good to have him arrive safely, he left Brissie last yesterday afternoon. Took him almost seven hours to get here. Love this sign I spotted in the back window of his car this morning.
Appartently Sarah and Colin picked it up for him when they were in Melbourne. They couldn't make Easter with us this year, because they are puppysitting Penny for Pete. I think they think she is as much their dog as she is Petes. Sarah is always picking her up to bring her home for a play.

The other breaking news with Sarah and Colin is that they are both looking for work. After spending 8 years in the Solar Industry, Sarah resigned a couple of weeks ago. She has been the
General Manager of "The Hot Water Guys" for the past couple of years, having worked her way up from Receptionist when she started back in 2005. The company was bought out in early March, and whilst they would have liked her to stay on as the Manager, she felt that it was time for a change. There is only so long that you can work the crazy hours, and a lot of her flexibilty in work hours had changed. Also her style of management was a little different to the new owners, and she didn't want to compromise. She remained until the take over was complete. Her new staff were very sad to see her go. Her tradies love the way she had their work organised, and her accountant told her she was the best boss she had ever worked for, and even her new boss sent her a lovely email, letting her know that they couldn't have done it without her, and that she had a wonderful calming influence especially in stressful times, so she did leave feeling quite loved.

So if anyone out there knows of any administration jobs going in Brissie, she would love to hear about them.

I haven't done much scrapbooking lately, life just seems to get too busy. Have managed to do this one layout, and a couple of cards.

We have our scrap retreat next month, so hopefully I will get in and get motivated for that.

And finally today, let's not forget the true meaning of Easter.

The True Message of Easter

The true message of Easter is a message of love.

- The love of our Heavenly Father for sending us his Son

- The love of Jesus Christ for us, for his willingness to be our Redeemer, and suffer both in body and spirit until he gave his life for us.

- Because of what he has done for us, the Lord Jesus Christ has a great and infinite love for each of us.

- He has already given each us the gift of the resurrection.

- He does not want his sacrifice for our sins to be in vain.

- He invites each of us to come unto him. To repent of our sins, and be healed.

- We are not alone as we face our sins and weaknesses. He can help us overcome them, and lift great burdens from our souls, and give us rest

- Come unto Him, that you may be healed.

Until next time......
