HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY - 2011
Wishing all you lovely Mothers out there a lovely Mother's Day. I hope you have all been as spoilt as I have been today.
My day started with breakfast in bed ( cooked by my youngest daughter) followed by phone calls from my older kids.
I received this lovely card from Chloe
She made me wear this badge for the day.
I received these lovely gifts.
We all went to church together this morning, and received chocolates and a flower corsage.
Then we all went for lunch together.
We went to "The Crooked Cactus" - there first Sunday lunch trading - a new menu. Good Value.
This is us with our meal.
Came home and had a nanna nap, and then watched one of my new DVD's before going out to friends for dinner.
The girls cooked dinner for us - a lovely time of chatting, laughter, and reminiscing, It has been a lovely day.
Have come home tonight and am enjoying this lovely gift that my youngest daughter gave me for Mother's Day. How pretty is it and it is giving off the most delightful fragrance at the moment.
Just want to also wish my wonderful MUM a very Happy Mother's Day.
I have been very blessed in my life to have the most wonderful Mum, who not only has been a guiding force in my life, but has loved me, beleived in me, and been my best friend. She is a wonderful godly woman who has been a true example of living a life that is pleasing to God and has been a wonderful role model of what it means to serve others. I love her to bits. So this little poem is for you Mum.
I've watched
the wonderful ways
you've made life special
for our family...
the moments of love
and laughter,
the traditions
and memories
we'll carry with us
throughout our lives.
But most of all
I've watched the way
you've shown us
the true meaning of love
in everything you do.
Happy Mother's Day
Even though I haven't been able to spend this day with you Mum, you have been very much in my thoughts today and I am just so thankful and appreciative of having a mother as wonderful as you.
In closing, I just want to share photos of my true. In honour of Mother's Day and the Birthdays this month, my tree has had a change. We are now decorated with roses.
And Finally this day is almost over - just need to start getting ready now for another big day tomorrow. My baby turns 20 tomorrow. Where have these years gone. Must go and wrap some pressies as I am sure someone in this house will be up early tomorrow morning.
