CATCHING UP WITH OLD FRIENDS....

What a wonderful night we have had tonight.  Last night we got an unexpected call from friends we haven't seen in  a long time.  They left Rocky over 20 years ago now, and although we have kind of kept in touch over the years it has been a very long time since we have seen them.

Since they have left Rocky, they have lived on the Sunshine Coast and then spent almost 16 years living in Columbia.  They have had some of the most amazing experiences living there and it was great to hear their stories.  They certainly saw the hand of God over their lives as they were confronted with Gorilla's who didn't seem to see them as they drove past. 

It was such a great night,   it was like we had seen them yesterday.... the conversaton just flowed,  we shared photos of families and remembered the stories and memories of days where we saw each other almost daily.  Just wish they could have stayed a little longer.

It's funny, it is probably 10 years or more since we have seen Shelley and Allan, and yet last week whilst we were away  I was sharing with a friend about my Friend Shelley, and how when our girls were small, we would lay on the bed feeding our babies together...  

Unbelievable that three days later, we get a call from them, and have a visit.

 They are now living in Ballina in northern NSW.  Here's hoping that it is not another 10 years before we see each other again.
