BUSY DOING DISPLAYS

I have been busy at work....
So much to do and no time to do it...
This year I am not in the Library as much as I have been previously.
I also have bus duties of an afternoon, and it makes life a little difficult as I cannot keep up with all the work that needs to be done in the time that is allocated...
Unless I do these displays in my own time, they would not be happening this year...
I do most of the planning and work at home, and then stay back after work to put them all up around the Library...

We have had a busy year this year with displays....
It is Anti Bullying week this week, so I have created this display for the front of our Library....

A positive spin on anti bullying
I wanted the display to give the kids a positive message,  I wanted to give them some strategies to help them think about how they treat other people, so came up with this display...   Our Principal loves the message and has asked that we keep it up until well into next term.  She even mentioned about putting it in the main foyer of the Admin block.  Not sure if that will happen, but we have had lots of positive comments on this display....

We are in full swing of preparing kids for Naplan, and have a huge focus on  reading, writing and comprehension.  Our Librarian has been pretty much drilling into our students the different sorts of text that is used by Author's and has been using the Easy as Pie to get this through to students, so we decided to put a display together to help the studentes visualize this...

It's as easy as P.I.E - Persuade, Inform and Entertain....
I have also tried to create a couple of displays around some of the C2C books that our students are studying at the moment.  The Preps are doing Hairy Maclary, and so I decided to do this display on Hairy Maclary.  As the students do their own work around this unit, we are hoping to display some of their work with this display...
Our very Hairy, Hairy Maclary...
We have had a bit of a shuffle around of office space in the last month.  It has been quite a stressful time for all concerned.  We moved offices with our HOC.... she was finding it quite stressful being in an open  meeting room, becuase she never seemed to have privacy to get her work done.
We on the other hand, never had enough room in our office to spread out and get work done...
The new arrangement suits us all round, and we are all much happier now...
The HOC was most appreciate of our offer to swap places with us and sent us these little gift as a peace offering and a thank you for doing this for her...

Who doesn't love chocolate and flowers...
Our happy flower....
A thank you note....
It has been a busy few weeks and I am stuggling to keep up and record the day to day events of our life....
Will be back soon with new photos of our gorgeous grand daugher.  Only two weeks to go before she comes to have another extended visit.  To say I am excited would be an understatement.  I hardly can wait.
