CRAFTING AT TANNUM

One of the lovely things about camping with others, is the fun and fellowship that we have together...
Quite a few of us enjoy doing crafts, and one of the girls had picked up this idea about decorating and using a hessian bag..  The ones you get from Woolworths for $2.
Such a cheap craft as we all used left over fabrics to decorate our bags and shared with each other...
Here is my finished project...
I was really happy with it...

My first attempt at decorating a bag..
These bags are great as they already have a tree with leaves printed on it.  We just had to make our flowers and then strategically place them on the  bag so that the leaves complimented our flowers...
One of the girls went to Vinnies and bought a heap of jeans for $1 each.   Pockets then worked out to be 50c each....

Sarah really loved  my bag, and I enjoyed making it, so she got me to make one for her also...
All she stipulated was that she wanted me to use bright colours on hers...
So I made this one for her...
Bag I made for Sarah...

I think between us all we made almost twenty bags... Some of the girls made three or four.
One of the girls is making them as Christmas gifts for her work colleges...  It gave me the idea to do like wise... It gives me the rest of the year to make at least another six...

Here are a few of the bags the other girls made...

 We were all very productive...
even my adopted grand daughters Lauren and Emma (both in primary school) managed to make four bags between them.  So good to see the girls so motivated and crafting.
