We were so excite to have Willow and Sarah come to stay, especially the week before we had booked to go away in the van camping at Tannum Sands...
This would be the first time, that Willow had been camping as such. She has been on a couple of mini holidays with her parents, but they usually stayed in Bed and Breakfast cottages or resorts, so this is the first camping trip as such. Even Sarah admits that it really is upmarket to the camping trips that they did as kids...
We wanted to get away bright and early in the morning and get down to the caravan park and set up as there was forcast rain for that afternoon and the following couple of days. Nothing worse than setting up in the rain, so we wanted all that done...
We packed the van and hitched up the night before. Steve got a tow ball for Sarah's car so that she could tow the boat down for us too.
Massive photo share and this is just day 1 of our holiday....
Ready to leave

Cuddles with Mummy before I hope into Poppy's Car |
All strapped into the carseat.... must take her babies of course... |
She couldn't possibly leave any of her dollies at home... I spent most of the trip retrieving these dollies from the floor of the car as she would constantly drop them and then call our for them,
Her Mummy put her sunnies on her just as we were about to drive out..
We could not possibly resist taking these super cute photos of Willow...
How cute is she |
Love these photos of her in her sunglasses |
Bit of class here..... |
Amazed she kee |
Up on top of her head like her Mummy.... |
Just love these photos of Willow with her sunglasses....
Sarah was first out of the drive way towing the boat... There is a first time for everything. She did well, and followed us the whole way...

There are still major road works which delay us when we travel.
New section of road means major delays... |
and huge lines of traffic backed up |
long lines in both directions.... |
Enjoying the drive |
It took us a couple of hours to get to Tannum....
But once we got there, it was all hands on deck to set up...
Willow initially wanted to wander around and check everything out...

Here are some more Poppy. |
It was really quite hilarious... As she handed the pegs to Steve and Sarah, they would lay them in a little pile behind them. Once she had handed all the pegs to them from her little stash. She would walk around and find the pegs in the pile behind them, and start handing them back to them all over again....

Once she had handed out all the tent pegs, she then found the bucket of ropes..
She was very happy to hand these out to Poppy and Mummy too. |
The last of the tent pegs goes into the ground... |
She wandered from Mummy to Poppy and she really did stay focused for a good couple of hours... These memories are so precious... and I am sure we will never forget our first camping trip with Willow...
Our precious grand daughter... |
Whilst Steve and Sarah set up the inside of the annex and put up the flap at the back, I took Willow for her first swim in a big pool. She was a little apprehensive at first, but loved it and then didn't want to hop out...
We had a lovely swim together and then it was time to bring her back to have some lunch....
Here she is sitting on her little stool eating her peanut paste and rice thin cracker |
Mouth full of peanut paste... |
Mmmmmmmmm these are great... she must have been hungry she ate three.... |
Meanwhile....
Mummy and Poppy did a great job setting up my our space for our week at the beach....
Mummy and my home for the next week... |
time for my nap |
Sleep time |
My mummy was so proud of me... She really wondered how I would go sleeping in this new environment, with all the noises and distractions...
I really surprised her and ended up sleeping for an hour and a half... My mummy also had a nap...
I think we are going to have a really good week.
