CATHCHING UP WITH THE VANDERDUYS..
We were fortunate to have a good run from the Sunshine Coast to Redcliffe after leaving my Dad's.
One of the things we wanted to do these holidays was catch up with the Vanderduys family who are living in Redcliffe. They have been home from furlough now for the last couple of years and we honestly haven't seen them anywhere near as much as we would have liked....
I had run them a week or two before coming down to Brissie to make a time to catch up and it appears that most of them were going to be home on the 29th December, so we arranged to spend the afternoon with these guys..
These guys are quite special to us. When they were newly married they invested quite a bit of their time into the lives of our teenage children at the time..
They then moved out to Theodore for three years where they started their own family.
Over the years there kids have been like grandchildren to us and when our Chloe was a young adult she invested a lot of time into the lives of their children...
It is hard to believe that three of their children have now finished their schooling and are beautiful young adults. It is hard to believe that Emma is 14 or 15. Sharon came home to our place from PNG for her birth and she spent the first month of her life living with us.
