A DAY ON THE GOLD COAST
One day we are on Norfolk Island the next enjoying the sunshine on the Gold Coast.
We took our Grandchildren down to the Gold Coast for the day. The plan was to take them to the beach and the parks but we woke up to overcast weather and it rained all the way down.
I had an appointment at Bond University for some research I have been involved in, and when we arrived Hayley ( who I was spending some time with) was able to suggest to Steve a couple of indoor play areas he could take the children too, so whilst I was there, Steve took the children off to Chipmunks, a children's indoor play area for them to play at..
My appointment was for a few hours so they had plenty of time to enjoy their play, and enjoy it they did. They had a marvelous time and weren't that keen to leave and come and get me....
Morning Tea break... before they
They just didn't stop... they played and played...
It was still raining when they came to pick me up, so we decided to head back to the shopping centre to have lunch. We also did a little shopping whilst we were there. Steve found a "Sketches" shop and found a pair of walking shoes that he really liked. They didn't have his size in store but rang through and found out the they had a pair at Mt Gravatt Shopping Centre. The assistant in the store got Mt Gravatt to hold them for us, which now meant we had to drop in there first before heading home....

Checking out the unusual furnishings in the shopping centre |
There was quite a bit of public artwork on the amenities block near the playground. I love this new trend of doing up the amenities blocks especially on the beachfronts... Ours on the Capricorn Coast have all been painted or decorated also...
The children loved the playground and were very happy to run between each of the different activities checking them all out....

We managed to make it on time, and the shoes fitted perfectly and felt very comfortable so Steve parted with his money and bought them...
We only have a couple of days left in Brissie before we need to head home...
These holidays have gone way too quickly but they have been good ones....
