LUNCH AT THE BEACH...

I hadn't planned on going to the beach today....
I had bought some jeans online and when they arrived the zip was broken...
Now I really needed to do something about them as they were unwearable the way they were, so I took them into the local store to change them for a new pair....

The lady was helpful initially and checked to see if they had a pair to exchange them for but they didn't have my size....
She checked her computer and found they had a pair down at Yeppoon..

This is where I felt a little peeved.  I asked if they could send them up for me to pick up later in the week, but she  told me they couldn't do that.  If I wanted them I would need to drive down to the beach and pick them up myself.  The only thing she could do was give me a refund....

I didn't want a refund....
I wanted a new pair of jeans... my old ones don't fit me anymore...

Now if I had gone into the store to buy a pair of jeans and they didn't have my size then I would have been happy to drive to the beach to buy what I wanted...

My peeve was about the fact that I paid good money for these jeans and also paid postage to have them sent to me and they were inferior so therefore I would assume that it would be their responsibility to replace them for me without extra cost on my behalf...

It wasn't to be and if I wanted the jeans in my size I had to drive to the beach to get them...
Now because of the Covid, it has been pretty hard to get much in the way of winter clothing this year and the lady in the store assured me that there would be no more stock coming in now until September and it would be summer stock, so it was off to the beach for a drive to pick up my jeans....

If I had to go for a drive to the beach I was going to make sure that I enjoyed it....
Once I picked up my new jeans, I headed into Coles and picked up some buns, fruit and seafood to make a seafood roll for lunch... bought a magazine and headed down to the beachfront to enjoy my lunch...

 Whilst I was a bit peeved about having to drive to the beach to change my jeans,  in the end it was so worth it as the day was just perfect and being at the beach and listening to the waves is very soothing to one's soul...

I came home feeling rejuvenated and very refreshed....
