A PARK CRAWL WAS THIS WEEKS OUTING FOR THE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS LADIES....

I am enjoying my outings with the lovely ladies from the "Circle of Friends" group I have joined since retiring...

I have missed the last couple of outings due to the fact that we were away..
This week the ladies decided to do a park crawl around South Rockhampton....
We met at Di's place so that we could car pool and headed to our first park..
Our first park we visited was the Jefferies Park in Albert Street where the Rats of Tobruk Memorial is housed..

From here we ended up at the parkland along the river bank on Sir Raymond Huish Drive.  There were quite a few mums there with young children, but none of our ladies wanted to join the children on the playground... We did all enjoy a wonderful morning tea together though..

I made a batch of cupcakes for morning tea....

My the time we finished morning tea it was almost 11am.  Normally we head home just after 11.30am and we were yet to check out the rest of the parks in South Rocky...

Whilst the ladies paid a pit stop to the toilets I walked across the road to check out some of the past war memorials...

Because we were so late getting away, we basically just drove around looking at the other parks but we did stop up along Pennycruick Street at the Pearson Family Park to admire the views of the Lagoon and ranges out beyond the airport... Steve and I often come up here to enjoy the sunsets...

Rockhampton sunsets from up here are truly amazing....

From here it was time to head either back to Di's place or home...
Such a lovely morning with such a lovely group of women...
Looking forward to catching up with them all again next week...
