Great week of creating
Not a lot has happened this week. I've had a weeks holiday at home. First one this year. For both the Easter and June/July holidays we were away the whole time. I haven't done much other than scrapbook this week. The ironing is still piled up, the sideboard is still dusty, the floors still need a mop. I did manage to keep the washing up to date, the dishes done, the beds made, and the floors swept. Also got the curtains washed, and the blinds washed, as well as a few windows. I never did get around to cleaning the linen cupboard and the hall way cupboards, but I did have a lot of fun creating. I did manage to fit in a foot massage and a back massage, lunch and coffees with a few girlfriends as well. All in all it has been a great week - just wish it wasn't ending - just wish I didn't have to go back to work again next week. Ah well that's life I guess, and I truely am thankful that I am in a job which does allow me to have extra holidays a year.
First layout is photo of Pete and his ex house mates (well Chris, the guy sitting in the middle on the couch, is still one of Pete's house mates) taken at Josh's wedding. This is like the first of them to get married. The next one is similar - sort of like the end of an Era - all single guys. I guess life will change a bit in the next few years for them all.
"We are Family" is Steve's favourite layout. He really likes this one. Love how he always enjoys looking at my work, and is happy to show his appreciation. (Even though he grumbles occasionally about my shopping). I know that he appreciates the work that goes into them all the same.
This next layout is a direct scraplift of one of Ali Russells (Embellished) layouts even down to the choice of papers. I particularly loved this layout - really loved her choice of papers, and it was one of the classes that I really really wanted to go too, but couldn't because I was in hospital. She is such a talented scrapbooker - her layouts are amazing and she does them so quickly.
Took lots of photos of the girls whilst Sarah was home on holidays, not often we are able to take photos of our kids together, especially with the older two living in Brisbane. Had to make the most of the opportunity, so have scrapped the last three layouts of the girls. The "Beautiful Girls" layout did not photograph real well - it is not true to colour, it actually looks better in real life.
Have a house full of teenagers here at the moment. Think there are 15 of them, all here for a movie night and sleep over. At the moment they are madly running around outside playing the tradition Latham game called "Smack in the Dark". I am sure the neighbours will think they are all being murdered by the noise they make.
Thanks to everyone who visits my blog and leaves such lovely comments, I really appreciate all your lovely thoughts and well wishes over the past couple of weeks whilst I had my brief visit to hospital.
Before I forget - I have been meaning to draw the names for the "PAY IT FORWARD" from September 10th entry in my blog.
The lucky three are Diane Lovell, Lali Torres, and Casey Baldwin (Scripture by Design).
Girls if you could email me your address I will pop something in the mail for you all.
Remember you have to keep it going forward too, so you will need to post it on your blog if it's YOU!
Don't forget to say HI if you drop in and visit this blog and have a great week.

Hi Darl,
Just had to see what you are up to on this blogg. Whacka doodle Doo! You have been busy and I agree the LO are fantastic. I really love the stories and so will the kids and their kids. I guess money well spent, but don't quote me on it (especially when I want a new boat).
Maybe Pete would look more like me if he had his original nose instead of the bunged up one now. He is still a stud though heh! A chip off the old block Eh! Eh!
Keep up the great works of art
Luv
Stevo
