Won't be a long post tonight as I have so much to do to get ready to go away tomorrow. We are off to visit our older kids this weekend. Pete graduates from Uni this weekend. We wouldn't miss this for anything. It has been a long hard slog for Pete and I am just so proud of him because at one stage he honestly felt like throwing it all in - life was just so busy, but he perservered (perhaps with a little nagging from his mum) and on Saturday we get to see him accept his award for work well done. It will also be special in that I have worked for the Uni for the past 15 years so it will be nice to be on campus as a spectator rather than a staff member. I hope to have lots of photos to share with you next week. Just praying now that Pete manages to land a job in his degree area. He has applied for some graduate positions, and has got to the next stage of the interviews in front of a panel.
Chloe has just finished sitting the QCS exams. It has been a couple of really full on days for her. They had to be at school by 7am where they were bused to the beach to do it in the peace and quiet. They were also provided with a cooked breakfast (bacon and eggs). It hasn't been the best day for her as she has not been well, and this morning when she was getting ready, she split one of her contact lens which meant she had to go hunting for her glasses which probably aren't as good as her contact lens. Anyway it was off to the optomertist this afternoon to have her eyes checked again and order new ones (this is one bill were weren't expecting at this time) They are close to $400 and obviously only last 12 months - they do make life lots easier for her though especially playing sport.
Have also been playing aorund with the computer a lot in the last week learning more about photoshop. Ro from Willro & Co has just released the most awesome kit of Clipping Masks, and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE them - definately a worthwhile investment - in fact I reckon that they would be a MUST.
Anyway these layouts are really basic - more a learning experience to use the clipping masks, but they are the only scrapbooking I have managed to do this past week. There wouldn't be much more done either in the next couple of weeks as life is really really hectic here at the moment.
These first couple of layouts were done using the soon to be released new Willro & Co "Sorbet Dream" Kit and the Willro & Co "Clipping Mask Kit" - it is another must have. Ro has some awesome kits out and they just keep getting better and better. I LOVE THEM - they are great to work with. Have also used The "You and Me Foever" layout also has the bling and hearts from petit moineaux designs
For the "Beautiful Girl" layout I used the kit ""XX's & OO's" from Corina Nielsen Designs and the Willro & Co "Clipping Mask Kit" to make the scalloped paper.
The fourth layout I have used
Olde Skool (collaboration w/Kim Christensen) from
http://www.funkyplaygrounddesigns.com/ and have also used the Willro & Co "Typewriter Alpha Kit"
and Clipping Mask Kits"
Not a lot more to share tonight - need to go get some packing done. Have a great week.
