PEARLS OF WISDOM
There is still so much to blog about this month... it seems to have been such a long month. It is almost 4 weeks since my Mum passed away and in some ways it seems such a long time again. The pain of lossing her seems to feel as if it has been forever in some ways, and yet in other ways it still seems so recent and raw.
I am struggleing... it is a day by day journey.... It is hard being back at work. I am so tired most of the time and I often feel overwhelmed at the amount of work that is piling up, and I look at it and wonder how it will ever get done. I guess there is also a part of me that wonders in the great scheme of things whether it really does have any significance. Sad I know.....
One activity I did find not only enjoyable but also very uplifting and encouraging was a girls night out at church last Saturday night. A lot of the younger girls wanted to throw a dinner to show their appreciation of the older woman in the church. They put on a beauitful candlelit dinner for us all, and a few of the young guys from church, waited on us. The young girls spent the day cooking and setting up for our dinner and they really did do a beautiful job. The tables looked amazing.
The night was also a chance for us to share with them and answer a lot of the questions that they had on womanhood, relationships, marriage and motherhood, and it was a truely uplifting and inspiring night. It gave us a beautiful insight into their hearts and I am sure they would have said the same of us. They called the Dinner - "Pearls of Wisdom".
The girls spent all Saturday afternoon setting up the table.... we sat under fairy lights and the tables were lined with candles.
They did an awesome job with all the food.
We were waited on by these great guys, and they did a magnificent job, even doing all the dishes for us as well.
Some of the beautiful girls and ladies that attended the "Pearls of Wisdom" Dinner.
Everyone enjoying themselves.
End of the night clean up.
It really was a wonderful evening, and one I will remember for a long time.
This past week, I have also had a bit of surgery done, some BCC's cut out and a removal of a mole. I really looked a sight when I went to work last week.
I had to keep them covered for 24 hours, so I looked a real sight when I went to work the next day. The kids all wanted to know what had happened to me. The stitches all came out today and everything looks good.
Also took the time to get my eyes tested and new glasses are on their way. They should be ready to be picked up in the next day or so. Will have to get some photos done with them.
I have also been reading an amazing book which I will share with you next post. I highly recommend it "Seeing Throug Heaven's Eyes" by Leif Hetland. It is definately one of those books that you could re read time and time again. More to come on that next post.
Bed time now so time to hit the sack.
