CHILLING OUT TOGETHER FOR A WEEK....

It's been a tough year this year and we haven't managed once to get away together just the two of us.  With everything that has happened both good and bad this year,  we realized last week that I have spent at least a quarter of the year away from home.

This week we have taken a little road trip together... 9 days of just chilling out together...
Our first stop over night was here....

Sleepy little beachside town
Quiet and peacefull
Waterside park
New boat platoon since we were last here
We dropped in to spend a night with Steve's folk ( and also to fit in a day's fishing) before heading to Bargara where we had booked a weeks accommodation right on the ocean front.
We pulled in here just after 10am in the morning to find no one at home....
Home away from home...
It was nice having the place to ourselves... There was a beautiful cool breeze and it was nice just to spend the day together... We had a good trip down, and spend the time just chatting and catching up with each other... Steve found it really lonely whilst I was away... I really missed him too but probably not as much as he missed me because I was so busy with our new grand bubba. I really missed him and the fact that he was missing out on this time.
Anyway we enjoyed these

Whilst we sat out on the deck admiring the view and enjoying the breeze...
Enjoying the rest and sitting still...
The View looking out to the water....
The view behind....
Enjoying the wildlife kangaroos just grazing on the lawn... and then feeding these guys
Our rig parked out in the front yard ready to head off on the rest of our journey..
Took off to the kitchen to make some lunch....
Pretty impressed with this kitchen that my bother in law made himself.

All natural timber.  He has done a beautiful job....  He has used slabs from trees for the bench tops... and it looks awesome... wouldn't mind a kitchen like this myself....
Our room for the night...
After dinner we went for a little walk around the neighbourhood (to work off the beautiful roast dinner that Steve's mum cooked us) and we saw some lovely Christmas lights...
Christmas lights
And some of the lights had already been turned off..
Side view
Amazing spinning wheel
Santa on his bike...
This Santa even goes fishing...
Training it this Christmas
It was a great start to our time away... a very relaxing day... nanna naps,  cuppas on the verandah, good roast chicken dinner and a wander around the neighbourhood...

More to follow....
