OUR LAST DAY AWAY

Where has this week gone... way too quickly that is for sure.
We decided to spend our last day at Bargara at the park,  just chilling out.  We had three busy days previously so thought it would be good to just hang out,  get some laundry done, Steve had a couple of little jobs he wanted to do on the van.
We had a leisurely breakfast

Pancakes, fresh fruit in season, yoghurt and maple syrup.

It was a stinking hot day....
Almost the first day we had without a lovely cool breeze..
So the air conditioner went on...
And we lay and watched a movie together.
Now that is rare for us to do in the middle of the day....
In fact if we were home it would never happen, so it was a nice way to spend a couple of hours together.

In the afternoon we headed out to fuel the car ready for our trip home...
The day had cooled off and there was a nice breeze once again so we decided to stop off at Kelly's Beach and go for a bit of a walk....

We went for a drive around to the Basin too... it's been a while since I have been here.  We lived right on the beach here for a month or more when we first got married before we got the job up here.  Each afternoon we would walk out our back door, down the steps and onto the beach for a smile.

There are markets each weekend at this windmill.  Initially we had intended to visit them but we actually ran out of time as on the Saturday we had breakfast in town with good friends of ours and then on Sunday we went to church with some other good friends of ours.  It was really lovely to reconnect with some friends we haven't seen for a while...
Must make more of an effort to keep in touch....

On our way home the sun was just setting over the causeway...
We had to stop....

We are going to hate packing up and leaving in the morning...
It has been a really relaxing week...
It has been fun to go back over our past and reminisce.....
We feel relaxed and refreshed....
We met another lovely couple from England...
They will be in Rocky tomorrow too so are going to come and have dinner with us....

Time to pack and head home now to tackle the house and get ready for Christmas...
