MORE FUN ON THE HOUSEBOAT

More photos of our second day on the Houseboat...
Steve and I were fortunate... Our bedroom was at the back of the boat and had a sliding door which looked out over the water.... The down side was that at night when you were trying to sleep, you could constantly hear the water lapping against the tinnies and the houseboat... Also you could occasionally hear the tinnies hitting against the metal engine guard.
It was however nice to wake up to this...

The view from Bed....
The boys were up early ready to go check their crab pots.
Getting the boat ready to head out..
The moment they went anywhere near their boats, they got visited by several of these....
Pelicans on the water
Beautiful time of the day.
Meanwhile whilst the boys headed out to check on their pots... Paul was doing this....
Our breakfast on day
The boys headed out again after breakfast to do a spot more fishing and check the Crab pots...It was a good day, this is what they scored....
The mornings catch
Whilst the boys were out fishing, Brenda hitched a ride over to her in laws houseboat for a visit...and for morning tea..
Steve was the first back from fishing so it was his job to go collect her and bring her back to our houseboat....
Bringing her home.... This one is for you Daryl.  She is in the drivers seat...
Now Paul is not a fisherman, so his wife Elaine was quite excited when he decided to go out for a fish with Steve.... In fact it was such a rare occurrence that it definitely  became a photographic moment, and I was summons to grab my camera and document it....  I think he surprised himself as he actually caught three fish.....
Paul heading out with Steve for a fish...
The boys had their work cut out for them as they tied these up...
They need to be tied up.... don't want to get grabbed by one of those claws....
One happy fisherman....
Catch ready for cooking now and two happy chappies
After the boys had secured their crab catch, and we had a quick bit to eat, we pulled up anchor and headed off for some more exploring.  The boys had been fishing in an area called "The Bedrooms" that morning and thought it might be nice to go explore in their and check it out a little more...
On the move
Some beautiful views of the coastline and sand blows in this area....
Making a cuppa whilst we admire the views...
Enjoying each others company and the views...
Steve and Charlie wanted to do a bit o exploring so we took the tinnies and headed towards shore...
Heading to shore....
We put ashore at the Bedroom Camping Area....The boys decided to climb the sand dunes to check out the ocean on the other side.  There were some great sand blows and the sand was so white and fine... Just beautiful....
Views of the sand dunes  and ocean...
Looking back towards the estuaries
one of the things we really enjoyed was seeing the wild life, particularly the sorts of things we don't see that often.  Steve managed to catch this big slug in his crab pots.  We also saw lots of jellyfish swimming by.   They actually looked really lovely as they used their tentacles to maneuver their way along side the boat....
Some of the many sea life creatures we encountered...
Finally I wanted to share this photo of Brenda I took.  I really love it...
Love the big smile.
This photo has real significance for me.  It has been a horrendous year for Brenda with the loss of her beloved husband, so it was really good to see her enjoying her week away.  I am sure it helped us all.  She was married to a remarkable man and I know she misses him very much.  It was lovely to share this holiday with her...

Still have one more day of photos to share of our trip away... Will try and upload them tomorrow.
I have been busy doing a little crafting so will have that to share also in the next day or so...
