A FAMILY DAY....

Saturday was a fun family day...

Pre Christmas practice...

We found the reindeer ears and tried them on her... We thought she would yank them off, but she was quite happy to crawl around the floor wearing them.  She looked ever so cute.... Just love her.

 Just in this last week or so, she has been to walk and use her little legs.   She cracks us up as she steps right out.  She lifts her little feet right up into the air.  We are just loving having Sarah and Willow live with us.  Think we will really struggle when they go back home again....

 Sarah and I were heading out to go shopping, so Poppy and Aunty Chloe were staying home to babysit.   We had a few things we needed to get, and I desperately needed a haircut.   Don't have enough photos of Sarah and Willow together...

Whilst we were out shopping, Sarah picked up a hat for Willow and couldn't resist these cute little sunglasses for her.  She loved ever so cute....

Willow all ready to go to the Beach

 As Chloe was heading out of town to work for a couple of weeks, and Sarah and Willow are leaving next week to head to London to visit Colin, we decided to have a family day at the beach.... dog included.
 We headed down to Emu Park for a late lunch.....
This was Willow's first real visit to the beach, especially to have a play.

We found this cute little cubby for Willow to crawl into.... Penny wasn't missing out on any of the action.

 It was time to head down to the beach for Willow's first play in the sand.  Sarah and I had bought bucket and spades whilst we were out shopping, so we were keen for her to use them...

  Unfortunately dogs weren't allowed on the beach at Emu Park.... Penny did not cope well with this at all.  She was so sad that we decided to go find a dog friendly beach....
After spending a weekend down at Kinka Beach in April, we knew that it was dog friendly so we headed there for a run along the beach.....

Penny loved this beach.... big mistake was taking her off her lead..... she took off chasing all the birds.... She ran for miles and miles.... In fact it took ages to get her to come back.....

Meanwhile whilst the others were chasing after Penny,  I took Willow for a stroll along the beach in the home that she would fall asleep.   It seemed to work....

We had to be gone by 5pm, as we were meeting Steve's offsider for afternoon tea.... and they live in Yeppoon, so it would take us a good 20 minutes or more to get there.....
We were trying to keep Willow asleep for as long as possible, so we carried her up the stairs in her pram....

 We finished the day  by having tea on the beach.... Fish and Chips.... It was almost 8pm  by the time we got home.  It was a great day..... family fun days always are.
