WE WENT TO FEED THE DUCKS...

We are lovely having Sarah and Willow home...
We are making time to do the simple things...
The enjoyable things.... the things we don't find time to do these days....
We appreciate them a lot more when you see the joy and wonder on a child's face...
But at the same time, that joy and wonder fills our heart to overflowing and is really soothing to our souls, and relaxing all in one.
Early this week, we arrived home from work feeling absolutely stuffed....
Sarah decided that we should all go to the gardens with Willow to feel the ducks...
What a wonderful afternoon it was...
We all came home feeling refreshed and relaxed...

This little princess was just as happy to feed herself with the bread, rather than give it to the ducks...
She loved the ducks though, she loved the birds,  in fact anything that flew was labelled a duck.

Willow loved the ducks.... She wasn't afraid of them at all.  Her mummy was more afraid, especially by the big geese who were keen to take break from her hand.

The geese were coming a little too close for Sarah's comfort, so she grabbed Willow and walked away.

They came and ate the bread from out of our hands.

 You know, we are way to busy to do things like this normally....
Love having the excuse to go and take the time out to enjoy all that is close by.
it is amazing the difference having a child in the house brings...
You find time to enjoy the simple things again.

 We even manage to feed a couple of turtles too...
Although at the moment, the ducks way outnumber the turtles..
Once upon a time it was the other way round, way more turtles than ducks.

 Willow wasn't fazed by it at all.  She was quite happy to chase after the ducks.

 It was such a lovely relaxing afternoon down by the lagoon.
The time is flying by so quickly...
We are trying to make the most of every minute before Sarah heads home again.
I have spent most of the year looking forward to this visit and now it is almost over.
