HIS LAST DAY IN AUSTRALIA

Usually as a family we have a tradition of going to the movies on Boxing Day to see a latest release.
This year we had to wait until evening as we all wanted to go as a family and Colin was working...
This kind of suited us anyway as Steve and Pete wanted to try and work on Pete's car and get it running, and us girls hit the shops for some Boxing day sales...

Unfortunately by the time we went to go to the movies... all the sessions were booked out so we ended up staying at home and watching the first Hobbit Movie in preparation to go see the second one the next day...

We made Pete's last day in Australia, very much a family day... We all had a family breakfast together,  Sarah got a baby sitter to look after Willow whilst we all went to the movies to see this in the afternoon....

After the movies Sarah and Chloe went back to get Willow from the babysitter, and Steve, Pete and I wandered through Southbank...
We love this part of Brisbane, and it was such a pleasant evening to just stroll along the river..
Pete bought a new camera to take away with him, so we took that in with us to have a play with it and got these photos....
Around the pool area at Southbank...
We had a bit of fun with Pete's new camera whilst he ducked quickly into the city to do an errand he needed to do before he left the country.
Photos of Brisbane skyline in the background....
Lovely Summers day..
Decided to take a few photos of Brissie for Pete for when he gets homesick...
Brisbane at its best
The gardens are full of lovely flowers...
Took the photo below of Steve with a mosaic of barramundi and mud crabs...
Remind Pete of his Dad and their love of getting away to fish...
My men....

A few landmarks around Southbank
More landmarks around this beautiful precinct
And of course we had to grab as many photos as we could of Pete and us...
Who knows when we will next get photos of us all together...
Photos of Pete with both Steve and I.
By the time Sarah, Chloe and Willow had rejoined us,  Pete had had a swim to cool off and we wandered back to the food mall area to grab some dinner..
It was lovely strolling through this park land with all of those precious to us...
It was night time so the photos aren't the best,  but they do record this wonderful day we had together...
Our gorgeous grand daughter with her Poppy.

More Poppy and Willow shots....
I love seeing these happy smiles on their faces...
I love that they really enjoy each others company...
More family shots...
Family photos at Southbank

One of the last lot of family photos before Pete leaves the country...
Loved this time together, and yet there was an element of sadness about the evening too as we don't know when we will all be able to do this together again....
Going to miss this big boy of ours dreadfully...
