IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

It really is a very special time of the year....
We celebrate the birth of a Saviour ....
We celebrate it together as a family...
Today was no exception...
We are all staying together at Sarah's house....
It's Christmas Eve and we have played together,
Chloe gave Willow a swim in the morning in her little pool

After Willow had a sleep we headed off to go and finish our Christmas shopping and introduce her to Santa.... Sarah and Colin hadn't had a chance to get a Santa photo yet, and we were hoping that so close to Christmas the line up wouldn't be that bad.... We were wrong.. there were people everywhere... Still we didn't have a lot to do so it wasn't too stressful.
Willow didn't like Santa...
There were tears....
Mind you he wasn't a very nice Santa.... He was pretty boring actually, he didn't interact with the kids at all, didn't even really speak to them... Just sat there so that folk could sit their children on his knee for a photo.  We later met the loveliest Santa at David Jones in at Garden City, and he was just lovely... So nice to and gentle and encouraging and Willow didn't seem to mind him at all.
A Sad Willow - who is this scary fellow....
The girls taking the photos though were lovely and managed to get some lovely smiles out of Willow in the end, and we were able to get our Santa Photos...
A much happier Willow, although there are still some tears in her eyes...
Ah.... this was better.
Over the last few years we have started a family tradition of a very light easy dinner on Christmas Eve,  it gives us a chance to stop rushing and take time out to just chill out together.
Usually we have prawns, cheese platters, fruit and wine on the grass outside...

This year because Sarah and Colin live just down the road from the most wonderful park, we decided to have dinner down on the lawn at the park...
It was a great night..
We threw the frisbee and just chilled out...
This year we had Willow with us and that made it even more fun as she tried so hard to join in...
We also took Penny, and she had a wonderful time racing around the softball courts.
We all had a great time....
Pete spreading the Peruvian Picnic Rug.
WIllow decided to check out the field....
Definitely on the move now....
