RELAXING AT THE BEACH.....

It has been a pretty busy holiday especially for Steve, as he has had endless jobs to do at both our daughter's place and my dad's place. In fact in the whole week we were on the Sunshine Coast, we only saw the beach once.... bit sad I know.

We did however manage to see a couple of good movies.  "The Railway Man" and "Saving Mr. Banks" both good movies...

We decided to head home, and hitch up the van and just head down to Kinka for a week by the beach, just to relax and do nothing before the onslaught of craziness starts again for another year....
We have pretty much done nothing down here...
We have been walking each day....
Steve has gone across to the beach for a fish a couple of the days...
I have caught up with friends for coffee and a shopping date...
We have picked Sunflowers....

Picked sunflowers each morning as we went for a walk
Had visitors down for dinner,
Had Phil, Janine, Margo and Ken down to the coast for dinner...  Lovely night with lovely friends...
It has been a good week.  One which we desperately needed...
We have had the girls with us each evening....
They had fun the other night.   The park owners have bought a new little car for their cleaner, and have invited different people in the park to handprint the new car.  Both Chloe and Daina thought this was pretty cool and definately got involved...
Leaving their print forever on the car
Hand printed car...
I love our little van... I think it was one of the best investments we have made.
Little did I realize when we bought it how much we would love this sort of lifestyle...
We love this park....
So quite and peaceful...
So restful...
Perfect day.  perfect spot
Beautiful Blue skies...
Just outside our van
Surrounded by beauty
Up close and personal
 Loving life....
My afternoon ritual... laying out under the shade of the tree....

Such a good li
Our van set up
We have the girls with us so we had to set up the annex this time... Mind you we haven't seen that much of them... Chloe is back at work, and on most days, Daina has gone into work with her to catch up with her Aunt who is also on holidays...
Ready to head out for a walk...
Zipping up..
Heading to the beach
Heading off for a walk
Not a care in the world...
 It was a perfect day....
The right about of blue's and greens to make you feel very happy and refreshed...
What a perfect spot of the world we live in.
Views looking up to the Causeway...

Huge photo share of our time down here....
Love seeing the evidence of so much crab life around this area...
We had a little fun drawing in the sand...
Love this guy of mine and am happy for the world to know....

Love you for ever and ever
Self portrait
My turn to draw....

foever and ever
 I love the beach...
There is something very refreshing about it..
Whether it is the sound of the waves..
It feels cleansing in some sort of way...
I love too observing nature...
These perfect little sand balls made by crabs...
How perfect are they....
Amazing that Crabs would do this day in and day out...

The many varieties of shells you can find....
Some sort of tube shell..
The vaieties, the shapes, the lines, the colours... all amazing...
We take it all for granted
This shell had the softest shades of pink throughout...
Then there is the drift wood....
This piece caught my attention..
It reminded me of Christ dying on the cross...
Even the shadows around it remind me of a figure nailed to a cross..
I stand in awe of a Holy God who sent his Son to die for us so that we have a way back to the Father... such Love....
Reminds me of Christ nailed on the cross just for me...
We walked for miles yesterday...
We even came across the old log on the beach that we found earlier in the year when we were down here... this time it has a seat added to it...
Our driftwood log is still there....

Has an added seat to it this time though.
Of course we had a little rest here...
Steve caught up awares

Rest time...
He had a rest too...  Just so nice to sit and admire all the beauty around us...
Feeling very grateful and thankful for this wonderful creation..
Feeling grateful and thankful for all that we have...
Time to head home...
Heading home...
Leaving our footprints in the sand...

So thankful and appreciative of all that we have in this wonderful country in which we live...
God is good...
