TIME TO CHILL OUT

It has been a crazy busy time here.  We have spent more time in Bundy looking after Steve's parents,  since I last blogged,  his day has had a couple of stays back in Hospital,  I've had a night in hospital and so has my dad....    I've had trips away for work,  we've had a constant flow of visitors, so it was nice to just totally chill out on Saturday.  The weather was overcast and wet and had turned cold so we lit this.. and enjoyed just a lazy day at home.

enjoying chilling out in front of an open fire.
It was nice to lay about in my PJs for half the day,  I read, caught up with some phone chats with friends,  washed and did some cleaning at home... planned our menus for the week, and did a good grocery shop.  The good part about the day though was that there were now time restraints or deadlines to meet.  We could do anything and do it in our own time....

Steve spent most of the day in the yard,  sawing, and chopping wood and stacking it up so that we have wood to burn for winter.  He enjoyed his day, even though he was very sore that night...
I picked out some new recipes to try this week... Recipes we haven't tried before but were rather hearthy.  So far, it was been great,  I have shopped to cook what I planned, and it is so much easlier to come home and know what we are having for dinner.  So far the three new meals I have tried have all been winners and I will definately be making them again...

Saturday night we had home made pizzas.  These were yummy and were loved by all of us.  In fact we all wished that we could have had seconds.

Prawm, cherry Tomato, Goats cheese, Basil Pesto Pizza with Rocket and lemon juice.
I am feeling particularly blessed at the moment..
So thankful for the many blessings in our lives at the moment.
1.  Thankful for the peace and tranquility of home.
2.  Thankful that we have a roof over our heads and that our home is homely and comfortable.
3.  Thankful for Skype and that it keeps us in touch with family overseas.
4.  Thankful for the prayers of others, particularly during the stressful time we have all had recently.
5.  Fresh flowers, their beauty, colour and scent.
6.  Thankful for great time spent with Chloe,  fun times of sharing, lunch out, shopping and just the beautiful daughter that she is.
7.  Secret Sisters who spoil and pray for you.
8.  Jobs that pay well.
9.  Thankful for God's wonderful creation, and that we are able to appreciate and enjoy it,
10.  Thankful for fresh water, and how easy it is for us to

Feeling very much loved and blessed indeed.
