After two full days on our feet we decided that we would have an easy day today.
We had done some research of going up the Q1 Building to the Observation Deck on the 77th Floor and found that their was a special on the tours for the school holidays. if we bought a ticket we could use it for fourteen days. Both Christine and I saved even more money by using our National Senior's Card... Tickets bought we headed across the road to check out the views....

The lift was really quick.... it took only 43 seconds to get to the 77th floor, and you could watch the ascent on a television screen on the roof of the lift.....

The views were amazing......
a 360 degree view of the whole coast from Brisbane right down to the border...
It was a perfect day to see it all too, not a cloud in the sky....

We managed to get a few photos of us up there as well. Some kind tourist offered to take photos of us all together... Nice to be included in a photo with the others...

Whist we were up their, a group of tourist were about to make the outside climb to the tower... They were all dressed up in suits, with caps and they were then attacked the the rails. We watched them make the climb to the top...

I was keen to see the views of the coast at night also. Our tickets were a bargain, it meant that we could go again without any additional cost.... We headed up again the following night to watch the sun set and see the lights of the Gold Coast from the Observation deck...

It was pretty cold, we were all rugged up to take the walk across the road....

On our last afternoon on the Gold Coast, once again I decided to take one last look at the amazing views along the Gold Coast... I was there to see the twilight lights...
If we were still there I am sure I would have been back up their many more times.

On the Tuesday we ended up spending a couple of hours up the top of the Q1 admiring the views...
We came back to our unit and had a late lunch

Christine had bought down her slow cooker, so before we headed out to Robina, we put a casserole in the slow cooker, so that when we arrived home from our afternoon outing, dinner would be ready for us. We then headed out to the Robina Shopping Centre where we bought tickets to go and see this Movie...

The Movie wasn't until 4.15pm, so once we bought our tickets, we headed inside the shopping centre to check out the shops here....
Jannett saw a RIOT store and they were having a sale, so in we all went and stocked up on some more scrapbooking supplies... As if we really needed any more...
We all really enjoyed the movie... Great afternoons entertainment and we all had plenty of good laughs.... It was dark by the time we got out... After getting lost trying to find our way home, we arrived home to a lovely hot casserole, which we soon clean up with a couple of nice glasses of wine.
It was a great day... It has been a great few days on the coast...
Tomorrow we plan to head up to Mt. Tambourine.
