DAVID'S DEDICATION

We were fortunate enough to be in Brisbane for our good friends grandson's dedication service on Sunday.  There kids have almost been like our kids and always make a point of catching up with us when we are in Brisbane...
It was lovely to be able to attend David's dedication service at the Life Church in Salisbury last Sunday....
David is such a gorgeous happy baby.
It was a very special service.  The pastor made it very clear, that this dedication is really about the responsibility of the Parents in guiding and teaching little David the ways of the Lord.....  It is more about them making the committment to bring him up by living and sharing their faith, so that their faith will ultimately become the faith that David chooses to follow....
There service was really great...

They have a huge TV screen outside the church and there is a count down to the start of the service,,

 Their Pastor is really lovely and had a special word for each child that was dedicated.  There were five babies dedicated in the service and they were each presented with a beautiful card and lovely gift.... Such a lovely touch..

 All the families went up on Stage, where the Pastor had a special word for each of them and then prayed for the parents and the children all together...

 Love how we were able to catch these photos of Alan Linda and David.  He is such a bright happy little fellow, so placid and good natured.  Linda and Alan are really blessed...

 After the service we were able to get some family photos for them....
Linda's brother Ben and his family were there for the dedication, so we were able to get them all together to take a Forward Family Photo.
Unfortunately Justin and Melody and their beautiful family were missing as Justin and their eldest son Ezekiel were being commissioned to go on a mission trip to Bougainvillea in PNG.  It was a little disappointing that we were missing that service too..

 We also took a few photos for the Tunney family also... Alan's twin brother and his wife were unable to make the service either as they were away for the weekend.  They did manage to get home at lunch time and joined us all at the Winery for lunch.
