After suffering debilitating headaches now for almost two years, Steve finally had his surgery yesterday. He was pretty nervous. He has never had a stint in hospital in all the years we have been married and he certainly wasn't looking forward to the first few days after the surgery.
It was a pretty early trip to the hospital yesterday with us having to be there by 10am.
I was able to stay with Steve until lunch time when he was taken into the theatre to get ready for his op. I was told to come back around 6pm when he was due to be out of surgery and ready to return to his room.
I headed back to the hospital around 6pm, and there seemed to be a bit of confusion around which room he was coming back to. The girls came up half an hour or so after I got there and they were directed to a different room for him.
It finally turned out that I was in the right room, and the girls joined me a little while later...
Since STeve was still not back from surgery they decided to head to the shops and bring him back a bit of a treat...

We had quite a bit of time to kill as it was another couple of hours before Steve finally came back to his room,

It was almost 8.30pm before Steve finally came back up to his room. Poor darling looked completely washed out.

My poor darling, it wasn't very comfortable, but he did come out of it better than he thought he would... and he was able to have a little chat to us all. I also know he was very touched by the fact that the kids all come up to see him...

Blessed to have this girl still close by. So thankful for her help in these last couple of days....
She has helped me by ironing and running me around and then being there for her Dad when he needed help.
