THE LIGHTS ARE BACK ON....

After a week of this.....

Cords running everywhere

 Didn't matter which room you walked into there were cords like this running everywhere...
It was nice to come home from work on day 6 and flick the switch and see this...

Lights on again,,,

 Just wanted to shout our excitment from tje Roof tops.

We did have a false alarm the afternoon before when  they reconnected our power, and we all felt pretty exchausted.  it was short lived with the power only coming on for around 15 minutes or so.  We then were told there was a major problem and it might be a couple of weeks before we got power...
Talk about feeling depressed.  It had been a stinking hot week, and having no power, fans, aircon was kind of doing us all in, especially after we had spent hours cleaning up all the debris around the neighbourhood.

Still I am not complaining, we certainly were way better off than most people in town, as we did have a generator which at least kept our fridges running.

I must admit though,  I have a new appreciation for electricity, and for all the wonderful Ergon men and woman who have worked tirelessly this past 10 days to make sure that we all have power restored again.
