OUR LAST DAY AT TANNUM SANDS

Our last day at Tannum was perfect...
Gorgeous weather,  blue skies and cool breezes...
In fact our time down here this year when way too fast..
We never did manage to do all the things we wanted to do...

However on our last afternoon we walked up to the playground area at Tannum and had lots of fun in the playground, and on the flying fox...
Both Steve and Sarah took their skateboard and ripstick with them, and young Adam came with us in his wheelchair.  He has heaps of fun racing Steve and Sarah too.
I love this photo of this pair walking down the path together
Just loved this photo of this pair as they set off down the path together.  Adam has been so good with Willow spending lots of time with her, taking her for a ride on his wheelchair and showing her all sorts of things on the iPad....
Skateboarding down to the park
Love seeing him enjoying spending time with his kids....
It was such a pleasant walk.....
Great way to spend an afternoon
An unlikely pair, but Willow just loves Adam, and would wake up each day asking where he was...

It was such a pleasant walk...
I look forward to retirement...
I look forward to more time to just wander the paths and enjoying our environment...

She loves the swings....

Push me higher and higher Moppy right up to the sky

Swing me higher Moppy... Higher higher... up to the sky Moppy.  This child has no fear.  She kept asking me to swing her higher and it freaked me out.  She is only two...

Willow with her Poppy on the Flying Fox
Look at that sweet face
From the swings we decided to give her a go on the Flying Fox with her Poppy.  This little treasure is a bit of an adrenalin junkie.  She loved this, especially when it came to the end and threw them back along the line.

Then she wanted to hop on to Poppy's ripstick...
Her Mummy went on next, and Willow was keen to go on it again with her also...
Sarah enjoying the ride

She loved the ride so much that she then wanted her Mummy to take her on it...

Enjoying the flying fox with Mummy
It's moments and times like this, that full my heart and soul with joy.  Spending time with precious family, enjoying the simple things in life.  It doesn't have to cost money, it is the time you invest in each other and the fun you have that makes life worthwhile.... So blessed....

No wonder Willow is a bit of a dare devil with a mother like she has...
With a bit of help from her Dad,  Sarah takes off in a standing position... Not quite as secure as sitting I might add.
Getting a good shove from her Dad
Ready set go.....
They both take off....
We spent a good hour or more up at the park enjoying the beautiful late afternoon breeze.  Time to head back home as we were all going out for dinner tonight for our last night at the coast...
Willow balancing along the edges of the park...
Steve takes off on his ripstick...
Sarah heads off on hers
This is what holidays are all about...
And Adam and Willow head off together..
Heading home
The paths around Tannum are a skateboarders dream with just enough rises and dips to make skateboarding lots of fun, so they would ride along for a bit and head back and do it all over again..
Sarah even had Willow up on her skateboard with her and she loved it.... asking her Mum to go faster and faster....

Off they go together
Sarah and Willow head off for a skate together

They're moving...
The park land at Tannum is really lovely with lots of mosaics and carvings scattered along the walkway..
Willow loved to walk along any ledges she could find...
Time for a bit of a race....

When Willow started to get a little tired from all the walking and playing, Adam gave her a ride on his wheelchair to get home a little faster.   Meanwhile I kept walking as I knew I was the slowest out of all of them... I mean I had no wheels to speed up my progress...
Adam giving Willow a ride...
Tannum Sands is really a pretty little sleepy holiday spot, and we love coming back here each year.  It is not to far from home, but just far enough away that you feel like you are on holidays...

Beautiful peaceful spot...
Walkway along the creek
The park we always stay in changed hands during the year, and has now become a Discovery Park.  lots of changes in the Park,  some good and some not so good.... but all in all we will go back because it is so close to home and it is so nice in this area...
Our Caravan Park
Reception area....
Pool area
Playground
Willow's favourite park of the park..
All in all it was a great week and none of us felt like packing up and leaving the following morning.  We ended our holiday by all going out to the local pub for dinner.... Perfect end to a good week.
