A WEEKEND OF BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

What a great family weekend we have had....
We missed you Peter and Maria..
We missed you Colin...
If you guys had been here,  our time would have been perfect....

On Friday night I had organised a girls coffee and desert night with a couple of Sarah's friends who still live here in Rocky (most of her friends no longer live here now)...
She knew nothing about it... a total surprise for her.
The only thing is, one of her friends Anna, who was flying in specially for her birthday did not make our coffee and desert night as she got stranded in Brisbane at the airport there due the very bad weather they were experiencing down there...
Still we had a lovely evening...

Birthday Desert
Happy times...
We ended up going to the "Regent" in Bolsover Street.
It is a gorgeous little boutique restaurant attached to the lovely chic boutique apartments that have been set up in the Old TAFE building in town....
I can honestly recommend the restaurant cafe, as it has a real charm about it,  lovely for conversation, and the food is well priced and excellent quality.  The service is also exceptional...

Some of our deserts for the night....
Chloe and Danielle had these....
Toblerone Mini cheesecakes....
Mini Berry Mouse and trifle...
 Eleonore had this one...
I had the mini apple pie below and I must say it tasted gorgeous...

My desert for the evening..

Sarah had a sticky date pudding..
It was a really lovely evening and we pretty much got kicked out of the restaurant because they were ready to close and we still had heaps to chat about.  In fact we stood out on the footpath for probably another hour before heading home...

On Saturday,  Sarah's in laws arrived.  They had come down for the weekend to spend the weekend with her also...
Chloe had booked a pamper morning for us all as a girlie day out.  There were seven of us and we pretty much filled the shop.  It was a lot of fun and we did try some new things...
After our pamper we all went for lunch together....

Saturday afternoon, we all headed home for a nanna nap... We were all pretty tired.  Even Willow slept for over two hours...

Sarah had made an early evening  dinner booking for  at Pacino's on the river...  It was quite expensive but the setting was beautiful.  There were 11 of us for dinner including the children...
it really was a lovely evening out...

The meals were lovely although a little pricey...

Kay is Gluten free, so her meal was way more expensive than the rest of our meals...
It was nice but left you still a little hungry for more..
Crumbed chick and sauce...
We had balloons on the table...
The kids loved it...  they kept them amused for quite a while...

Sarah and Willow leaving the restaurant with her balloons....
I did ask about taking a birthday cake to the restaurant, but apparently they have had problems in the past so don't allow it any more which meant that we all had to troop home for the blowing out of the candles.
