ROAD TRIPPING.....

Where has the last week gone...
It has been quite eventful, but first things first...
We headed to Bundy for a long weekend last weekend.

Heading down the highway
Steve's parents haven't been really well so we decided to take a long weekend and go down and give them a bit of a hand and get a few odd jobs around the house done for them...
As we both had the Monday off, we decided to wait until Saturday morning to leave, and mean while get the washing and ironing done and a few jobs at home done first before taking off....

We were in a huge hurry and enjoyed a leisurely drive down stopping for lunch at Mirriam Vale.
Lunch break...
Time to enjoy a cold drink...
And a bacon and egg burger for lunch....
Could this have been the culprit...
Was it this burger or not....
I had the hamburger....
Hamburger was great....
It was really delicious...
Will be ever stop there again...
I doubt it....
Whilst the food tasted good...
We will never know whether it was the burger or the gastro bug which caused Steve to become so sick.   The sad fact though it will always be associated with the awful bug that he had, regardless or whether it was responsible for it or not...

The drive from Miriam Vale to Bundy was pretty uneventful but we were appreciated some of the beautiful scenery that we drive past and just always take for granted...

We pasted quite a few of these on the trip..
some were new like this one....
How we long to be on the road again like these guys...
and some were pretty old like this one...
Although I think this one was pretty much the oldest we have ever seen...
Ancient model...
Still a fair bit of roadworks going on, but at least we are not being held in long lines of traffic these days like in the past...
New roads
It was the perfect day for a road trip...
The weather couldn't have been better...
Not a cloud in the sky...
Wonderful scenery
Road tripping along Tablelands Road...
I love a sunburnt country....
Love these road trips with my man...
I love the chances we have to chat together as we travel the highways...
I look forward to doing a lot more of this with him...
