PREPARING FOR OUR PD DAY.....

Where has the last year gone...
The Teacher Aide PD day that we organise annually has rolled around yet again...
We have a record number of teacher aides registered this year from a record number of schools....
It is hard to beleive that this little PD that we started organising 5 years ago has gone from 40 teacher aides attending to 240 and the registration filling in less than a week.
It has been a busy couple of weeks as we prepare for the big day..
We have all managed to have days out of class to do the final preparations..
We had folders to put together for each Teacher Aide..

250 Folders ready to go...
Then it was time to think about some table decorations...
How wonderful is Pinterest...
We saw this idea with balloons stretched over bottles...
Well that became my job....
Getting the vases ready...
Decorating out bottles for table centres...
putting little bows on our vases...
Sue then worked her magic with the tulle and our centrepiece...
They are starting to look good...
We had bought gifts for all the teacher aides.
A little stress doll.....
Stress Dolls, and lanyards with their USB sticks...
This could represent whoever they needed it to represent....
And we also had lanyards printed with our "Teacher Aides Learning Together" title on it.
We purchased 8 gb memory sticks for each aide and had all the notes and PowerPoints from our presenters loaded on them, so that they have a copy of everything that was covered on the day...
These then were all gift wrapped as little gifts for each teacher aide...
Jenny got that job....
Jenny wrapping our stress dolls and Memory sticks...
Gifts all packed...

We were having a Numeracy presentation in the afternoon and we wanted it to be hands on, so then we had maths kits to put together.... I think we packaged over 3000 Unifix cubes,  along with playcards and dice....
Our Maths kits...
Then there was the massive tasks of doing all the certificates, name tags, schools, sign in sheets etc
Jan's job was to organise and print out all the name tags...
It was a really busy time, but we have become such really good friends through working together to put on these great days.  Love our time together and love it more when we see it all come together...
More photos of our actual day next week.
