BOXING DAY TRADITIONS....

Our Boxing Day tradition is to all go to a movie together as a family...
This year Colin and Sarah opted out....
Understandable as they had a three day old baby and life has been pretty hectic at their place since Sarah came home from hospital...
A little down time for them was much needed....

The rest of us headed out shopping and to have lunch together....
We headed into Mount Gravatt Shopping Centre to meet up with Pete and the girls...
BIG BIG MISTAKE....
It took us over 40 minutes of driving around to find a car park...
Just as we had given up and decided we weren't going to stay, a car drove out of a park directly in front of us, so we ended up staying and meeting Pete and the girls at the Beach House for lunch...

Even the girls had given up shopping as it was just too crazy with way too many people around...
After lunch we headed into Southbank....
The boys dropped us girls off and went off to find a car park,  we relaxed on the lawn at Southbank..
So nice to be out in the beautiful fresh air....

We had booked tickets to see this movie at 3.45pm..

Even though it is not really my kind of movie,  I really did enjoy all the special effects.
After the movies we all headed out to dinner together .

Pete took us to one of his own haunts....
We went here to sample their dumplings....
Out to dinner...
A night out after the movies....
The walls of the restaurant were decorated with hundreds of plates.....

Teaching the girls how to use chopsticks

We had an enjoyable evening all together...
We decided to finish the night off by introducing our guests to Max Brenner.
What a treat....
Dudi and Hanna shared some amazing chocolate brownie, ice cream and cream... It was enormous
Chloe and Maria shared a chocolate fondue
Steve and I shared the tutti fruitie waffles and chocolate...
We really did all have a great day out together..
Couldn't beleive that it was after 11pm when we got home...
Another big day planned for tomorrow again...
