DAN AND CHLOE ANNOUNCE THEIR ENGAGEMENT....

What a wonderful Christmas it has been....
For the first time since keeping this blog, I really didn't take many photos this Christmas.... I am having trouble catching up with everything since we have been away in the middle of the year but we did manage to capture Dan and Chloe's engagement.

I take my hat off to Dan,  he is one patient man.  He has been waiting to ask Chloe to marry him for quite a while,  he actually spoke to Steve way back at the start of September just after we got back from our overseas trip.  In fact if he had had his way, it probably would have happened overseas but they didn't want to take anything away from Pete and Maria's wedding and time with family.

Anyway it was suppose to happen once Chloe got back to Rocky something maybe in October (She had  spent six months in Sydney working, she had been seconded to the Sydney office to work on the W2B Pacific Highway upgrade.)  Anyway before Chloe managed to get back to Rocky, Dan landed a permanent position in Melbourne and had about 10 days to get there, so Chloe pretty much arrived home and they left to drive Dan to Melbourne..

Anyway he was home for Christmas for 10 days, and Chloe was snowed down with Uni assignments and so everytime he suggested they go out, she fobbed him off saying wait until Christmas,  I want these all done by Christmas so she could have the rest of the time off with Dan...

We all had Christmas with Dan's family this year, and after we had given out all the presents and were starting to clean up the mess, Dan went over to the cupboard, and opened a drawer.  he took something out and came over to Chloe, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him in front of both their families.  It was really quite special.  We were so caught up in the moment that we missed the photo of him down on one knee but Steve did manage to get the following photos.....

It is on.... she is now a fiance....

She is looking pretty pleased with herself....

We are very excited for them both.  They are so suited to each other and Dan makes it obvious that he loves Chloe to bits which is what any parent wants for their child.  Chloe adores Dan also and his family also love Chloe, so all round they, we and the kids are all blessed....

Looking at a mad couple of months now as we try and organise a wedding.....
