A BIG WEEKEND.... AND A HOT ONE.....

My birthday weekend was quite a busy one with our ladies group from chuch 'FLOURISH" having their breakup the day before my birthday.  We had such a lovely morning out for breakfast at a new little restaurant overlooking the Fitzroy river.  The new "Riverton Restaurant" is really nice and the meal was lovely.....

 I had eggs Benedict with bacon and home made hollandaise sauce.  It was totally delicious and a good choice,  My friend next to me had a Breakfast bowl which comprised of stirfry vegetables with a poached egg on top and it looked and smelt delicious also.

 My friend Dianne had these waffles for breakfast and she thought they tasted amazing...
Definitely a place I would love to take Steve back too.

The following day it was my birthday.  We had decided to make it a pretty low key birthday this year as our presents to each other were going to be our big trip away to Denmark to visit Pete and Maria....

We went to church in the morning and my good friend Ann surprised me with a lovely bit Blackforest Cake for my birthday.  After church we out for lunch with Chloe's in laws  as they wanted to catch up with us before we went away.

 We had a pretty chilled out afternoon.  It was too hot to do anything with temperatures way up over 40 degrees, so in the end we just headed on home where we chilled out doing very little in the airconditioning.  We did start to put stuff out for our big trip away...
