HEADING TO TANNUM FOR ANOTHER EASTER....

Pete, Maria and Theo along with Dan and Chloe were joining us at Tannum Sands for Easter this year....  It is a shame that Colin and Sarah aren't joining us this year.  This will be the first Easter that they have missed since Willow was one.....

We had taken the caravan to Bundy, on our way to Brisbane, so it was just a case of dropping in there and picking it up and heading to Tannum.  We wanted to set the van up, and annex ready for the kids to arrive on the Friday.  Once the van was set up at Tannum, we then needed to head back into Rocky to pick up the boat....

It made for a very long day, as we left Brissie very early in the morning, got to Tannum mid afternoon, headed back into Rocky just before 5pm, and it was almost 11pm before we arrived back down at Tannum...

A big sleep in the following morning as we were just exhausted.

I ended up going out in the boat with Steve the following day to put out the crab pots....
He was keen for a feed of crabs and the others wouldn't be down until later the following day....

It was so beautiful out on the water today....  The weather was perfect...
It has been a while since I have been out in the boat, and I definitely need to do it more often....

It really was a lovely day to be out on the water... I think I love it because it gives you time to reflect, enjoy the beauty of God's creation, and it allows me to appreciate all that is good in my life....  Regardless of what happens around us, we really are blessed  We live in an amazing country,  with lots of sunshine, and perfect weather and temperatures most of the year.  The scenery in our country is amazing,  we are not over populated, we have clean fresh water, and plenty of food available.  There are always others a lot worse of than us, so therefore I choose to be thankful for this blessed life every day....

One of the things that I appreciated today was the beautiful flowering mangrove plants,  I have never noticed their flowers before, and they are really quite beautiful...
I guess by tomorrow I will loose my seat in the boat when the kids arrive.  They will be the keen ones to go out crabbing and fishing....  I have really enjoyed being out on the water today.  We really do need to find more time to get out and do this sort of thing...
