EASTER 2019....

A great long weekend with family and friends..
Dan and Chloe were the first to head out in the boat with Steve...

He's one happy chappy...
The weather wasn't the best, with showers of rain coming over, but the icing on the cake for all those out in the boat, were the lovely rainbow stretched across the water...

Now all our grandkids have been camping with us...  So good to have these guys here and thoroughly enjoying spending time with this little man....
Theo's first Easter, although he really didn't have any idea at all about the whole hat thing or the chocolate eggs...  He was happy enough to pose for us though...

Dan and Chloe were Steve's main fishing buddies over Easter and were keen to go out with every chance they got.  On Sunday, Dan's parents came down to visit us from Rocky, and his younger brother Dylan went out fishing with them as well.  Dan caught the biggest fish over Easter and was quite excited to bring it home to share with us all...
Pretty proud of his BIG Blubber mouth Brim..
Showing Theo the big fish...
Maria was interested in showing Theo the crab...  Good thing that Steve had it all tied up as Theo was keen to grab hold of it.  Maria wasn't so sure...

It was not only a great weekend family wise, but we got to catch up with all our church family as well, as we have all been coming camping down here at Easter now for probably close to 20 years.  It was great to be able to introduce Theo to them all as well....

We have a big common tarp area, that everyone can congregate under, which gives everyone the chance to catch up, chat chill out, do craft or play games, and there is a lot of that happening over our weekend...

Tannum Sands itself is a lovely spot to chill out at over the long weekend... It is not far from home so you are caught up in long lines of traffic,  it is far enough away from home to leave all you cares behind, and the beach is lovely with lovely walk ways,  playgrounds,  decent size supermarkets,  nice creek, plenty of places for the boys to go fishing and so ideally it is the perfect place for us all to go...

Lovely decorated walk ways
boats lining up to get into Gladstone Harbour..
Long line of caterpillars going for a stroll along the boardwalk...
Dorothy and Kaye out walking...
Sharon, Kay and Marg out for a stroll.
We love this week away... Hopefully next year, Sarah and the kids will join us again...
