FAMILY REUNION...

Well it has been quite a while since Pete and Maria have caught up with family, so we organised a reunion of my side of the family so that they could have a catch up with everyone and introduce Theo to family...

It was agreed that we would all meet for a picnic lunch at Alexandra Headlands on the Sunshine Coast.    Getting a picnic table was a bit of an ordeal and in hindsight we probably should have just arranged to have the get together at our holiday house.

We finally managed to get a spot.  My good friend Barb and her husband John also joined us, well they are like family and they were also keen to catch up with Pete and Maria.

Sarah's brother in law and sister in law also joined us for lunch, as her brother in law Pete, was also one of our Pete's flatmates when he lived in Brissie, and they are really good mates...

It was a perfect day, and the beach was just beautiful...

Perfect Day at Alexandra Headlands

It was great to see everyone enjoying just catching up.  The cousins were all having a great time, and it was great to see my sisters.  We honestly don't do this often enough...

A catch up with my good friend Barb.  We have been close friends now for over 30 years, and even though she left Rocky a good 20 years ago, we have remained very close friends, and have enjoyed some wonderful times together including holidays....

After lunch we took the opportunity to get some family photos with my Dad,  He is getting on now and at 87, you never know what might happen and if Pete and Maria will get a chance to see him again...
Getting everyone together for a photo is not an easy task...
Four generations on the Stewart side of the family...

Now to get a whole family photo... Not an easy task...

It really has been a great day...
We shouldn't just wait for Pete to come home to organise a get together like this...
