FIRST EXPERIENCE AT A PUB CHOIR...

My really good friend Karen from Emerald was coming in overnight to experience a Pub Choir, and so that we could catch up she invited me to join her, and her sister and friend in also going...
They picked me up on their way into town, and we then went and booked into the Denison Boutique (their accommodation over night)

This accommodation was just across the road from the venue (The Great Western Hotel)
We didn't have time for dinner before the event, as they girls left straight from work and didn't arrive into town until after  6pm.

I had not heard of the Denison Boutique before, but it was really quite glamorous and had an old world charm...

The beds were all big four poster beds...
Once the girls were all settled in, we headed across the road to the Great Western where the girls enjoyed a couple of drinks before we were organised into our groups for the Pub Choir...
group photo of us all...
The night was a lot of fun.  Over 500 tickets were sold.  There was lots of laughter, and we all managed to see the song in harmony.

We had no idea what the song we were to sing was until she got us all into our groups, but it was a great song and we had a lot of fun with it...

The song we all learnt was called "WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER".. Great choice as we had a lot of fun with it...

We even made it onto the news....
Made it onto the evening news..

Over 500 joined the first Pub Choir in Rocky..
At the Great Western..
It was quite a crowd for a Monday night...  Lots of people eating out here also, so they would have done a roaring trade with the Pub Choir in town..
Karen and I

We all enjoyed learning a new song.  The only issue I had was the standing time... In the end we had to find a stool so that I could sit on... My back was starting to feel it....
It was a great night,  would definitely recommend it, and I would go again if ever they were in town...
