Lathams News: HEADING SOUTH AGAIN.....

We were driving south together today as far as the Sunshine Coast, where Pete and Maria were leaving us. They were heading inland to Montville where they had booked an AirBnB with Pete's old Aussie flatmates and their wives for the Anzac long weekend. One of his flatmates had flown up from Melbourne for the weekend just to join them. They are a pretty good group of friends and have remained so over the years, even though
We had quite a few stops along the way, as Theo was not used to being strapped in a car seat and got upset a few times...

Being behind the wheel seemed to cheer him up no end..

We also stopped to refuel and pick up something for morning tea... We were t heading down the road to a park to give Theo a break and a little play in the playground...

Back in the car again... He was keen to get behind that wheel. Ah not to be, have to go back in the car seat but only for half an hour before we stop again.

Our next stop was a little park in Bororen, where we stopped for morning tea and to give Theo a little play in the park...

He certainly seems to be enjoying himself....

From here it was straight through to Bundy to catch up with Steve's parents and to give Maria, Pete and Theo a chance to catch up with them also. It is much harder for them to get around these days, so Pete and Maria wanted a couple of opportunities to stop in and visit them on their trip home to Australia, as they are getting on in years now...

Of course we had to do a few generational photos whilst we were all there... Managed to capture the four generations of Latham men...

After Bundaberg, we had one more stop for fuel around Gympie before Pete and Maria branched off to head up to the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

We continued on to Brissie and were staying with Dan and Chloe tonight, as we wanted to drop off a feed of crab to them. Dan had been out with Steve helping with the crab pots...
