OUR LAST DAY ON THE GOLD COAST...

Once again Steve spent the morning doing school work.  So much for time off.....
We did go for a drive in the afternoon down to the spit at Southport and then we went off to investigate some of the gated housing communities at Southport...

 We were greeted by security guards as we drove into this subdivision...  The homes were all multi million dollar homes with exquisite gardens.  Some homes were three stories, although there wasn't always a lot of yard space.  The homes pretty much took up the whole allotments. 

From here we drove back into Southport as I wanted another walk along the beach before we left the following morning...

 Another lovely sunset on the Gold Coast....  I must admit, I do miss seeing the sun set over the water like on the west coast of Australia....  Still I love a good sunset....

 We've enjoyed our week on the Gold Coast...
Definitely think we will be back.. I would love to come back and see the Swell Sculptures one day in the near future.  It is an event held on the Gold Coast each September... might have to plan that for next year......
