Lathams News: PICNIC AT DAISY HILL KOALA SANCTUARY.....

Ian and Kathy were busy this morning, so we caught up with Sarah and the children... We decided to pack a picnic lunch, well sausages and bread and head up to the Daily Hill Koala Sanctuary for lunch. The children love it here. The awesome part about it is that it is absolutely free to go there and there are beautiful grounds for picnics...

Colin also decided to join us. Whilst we were cooking lunch, the children hooked up with some other kids picnicing there. The boys were building a shelter near the trees, and Mas was in his element playing with all the sticks...

Whilst Steve and Sarah were cooking, Colin had a game of Frisbee with Willow....

Whilst these guys were enjoying some time together, Max was off having fun with a lot of other little boys that he found....

Max found some mates to play with...

Whilst Steve finished cooking the onion, Sarah went and joined the rest of her family for a game with the Frisbee, It was interesting trying to teach Max how to throw it... Lots of the little boys that were playing with Max wanted to join in too...

Time to eat.....

After we had eaten lunch, Colin headed home as he still had quite a bit of work to do. Meanwhile, Steve, Sarah and I decided to take the kids through the Koala Sanctuary... They love visiting here...

Once inside there are lots of activities to do, and information to read. They also have a little area set up for children to play in... Colouring in, and pretending to be a vet...

Once the kids had a bit of a play we went and checked out the koalas inside. We were able to get pretty close to her....

By now it was mid afternoon, so time to pack up and head home. The kids were all going to join us at Ian and Kathy's tonight for a games night...

Sarah headed home, and we went back to Ian and Kathy's to catch up with them. Chloe and Dan were also joining us tonight and we were going to teach everyone how to play Exploding Kittens. Our kids have only played it once before also, just after we got back from Denmark....

Ian and Kathy had an early morning start the following morning so went to bed after our game, but Brian (who lives with them) was keen to keep playing and was keen for a game of 5 Crowns. I was also tired, we have had a few big days, so decided to head for a shower and bed also, but Dan and Chloe and Steve enjoyed another game with him...
