RIVERFEST IN ROCKHAMPTON....

2019 was the fourth year of Riverfest in Rockhampton and each year it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  We missed the first two years of Riverfest, as the first year it was held, we were overseas at Pete's wedding and the second year we were on our lap of Australia...

I did briefly go in 2018, but Steve missed it as he was off fishing with some of his mates...
This year we both went....
All credit to our council here who are doing an amazing job at highlighting our wonderful region...

This year instead of having fire works, they had a magnificent water and laser show on the river...

 The alley ways were all decorated and were alive with activity....

 We really went down for the water and laser show and it certainly didn't disappoint... In fact it was so spectacular that we hung around and watched it twice...

 After this amazing display we went for a walk down the other end of Quay Street in search of food.  
Along the way we bumped into more amazing displays...

 Down towards the other end of Quay Street, there were lots of food vendors operating with plenty of seating around to enjoy a meal.  Steve was pretty hungry so he found a vendor selling seafood, and bought himself some dinner....

 We had a lovely evening down there.  Were probably there for three to four hours, enjoying, entertainment, the water and laser display, the lights of Rocky,  good food and we run into quite a few locals that we knew and hadn't seen for a while.....

 You have to wonder what they will come up with next to top the previous year...
Already looking forward to Riverfest in 2020...
