MAX TURNS 4....
Off to Brisbane for another birthday Party..
Max turns 4...
He doesn't get quite as excited as Willow (thank goodness) but is still keen to get presents.
AT least is is not up at 4am like Willow... He slept to a respectable 6.15am before waking and then he was more interested in playing with my iPad than going in and opening his presents..
It was a different story though once he started opening them. Although it just goes to show that you don't need expensive presents to make kids happy as one of Max's favourite present was a shark head claw that cost around $3.

At $3 this was one of his favourite presents... |
He still had one more present from his parents, but this one was outside.... He was happy enough with what he had already received but this next one was a big one....

While Sarah was getting breakfast, Max was keen to get into his Lego and wantedt us all to help him build his dinosaurs... He had everyone helping him.. he loved his big dinosaur Lego and wanted all the little people to ride on the dinosaur...
After breakfast it was time for the boys to get ready and go out for their boys only morning. Colin, Steve, Dan and Max were heading to a Games Arcade to play boy games..... Max's other grand dad Tony was supposed to join them but he got lost and never made it.....

Lunch time at Maccas |
Sarah chose to stay at home so that she could finish making Max's Birthday cake... This year he has chosen a penguin for his cake.. She does an excellent job with the kids cake... way better than I ever did.... the kids and their friends love them too...
By mid afternoon, Sarah's friend Hanna and her three children had come over, and Sarah's in laws and Max's uncle and aunty arrived over also They had come over to see Max for his birthday and watch him cut his birthday cake...
The kids enjoyed a good play together whilst the adults chatted.

Photo taken with the Birthday boy... He is 4 now,. |
Even Penny got to come on this little excursion with us.
Max was hypo, he was so excited. It is an exciting year for him, he is at an age where he is enjoying everything....
When we got here, the owners of this house were still in the process of setting everything up. I think they had taken quite a bit down the previous day due to the storm..
Next we headed around to a lovey display on Priestdale Road...
There were quite a few houses in Sarah's area and we spent a couple of hours checking them out with Colin, Sarah, the children, Dan and Chloe, and a friend of Sarah's and her children....
We had a couple more houses on our list to check out before calling it quits. Max was starting to get a little tired...
Max looked seeing the train and was keen to have his photo taken with it...
It has been a great day especially for Max, he has enjoyed his birthday, enjoyed the gifts, enjoyed doing boys stuff, enjoyed having friends over to help cut his birthday cake. He was blessed to have both sets of grandparents down for his birthday and then to top it all off, we went out to check out the Christmas lights in the evening....
It's going to be hard to beat the great day Max has done....Hopefully the kids will enjoy what we have planned for them when they come home with us to Rockhampton.
