ANOTHER DAY OF CONCRETING...

Last week we headed back to Brisbane again to help Dan and Chloe finish the concreting...

It's tough work.  As they still had two sections to go, it was decided that we would head down Thursday morning so that they could do a pour on Thursday afternoon and then a second pour on Friday afternoon, and then the job was complete...

Steve thinks he is getting too old for this.... he was buggered by the time they finished the first day and then they had to front up and do it all again the following day...

Often Pete face times us in the afternoon as they wake up in Copenhagen.  The best time to chat to Theo is when he is sitting in his high chair having his breakfast...

Lately when they call, Theo is keen for us to show him all the fast cars.  We normally take the phone out to the footpath and let him watch all the cars whizzing past.  However as we were not on the coast today, I decided to show him the big cement truck pouring out the concrete... He was totally thrilled to be watching the big concrete truck and the pouring of the cement into the wheelbarrow.

Daily catch up with Theo.... he likes to see the fast cars...

Today we wanted to see the big truck....

Dan spent the afternoon barrowing in the cement..
Ankle deep in cement...

It was hard work and the cement was drying fast..
So proud of their work....

But not for long

Knee pads are on...

Boots are off and Wellingtons are on...

They had worked hard and were so proud of their work...

And then the inevitable happened... Mia made a dash across the concrete to get to Chloe...

Puppy prints

Butter wouldn't melt in her mouth look.....

She was not a popular puppy especially with her Dad..

The worst thing about it through was that Mia thought it was a big game.  The boys couldn't walk on the very wet cement to retrieve her and she was making a dash from one to the other as if it were a big game..

What a mess she was...

No way were they going to let her get  tomorrow afternoon when the final lot of concreting was to be done...
