BUSY SEWING....

My days away sewing with the girls has spurred me on to get some sewing done...

My daughters have been asking me to make some of my peg aprons for them to sell when they hold their pop up store and attend the Christmas Markets later in the year to sell their candles.  I have also made them a series of little cards to sell also.

They wanted about 20 aprons to see how they would go.  I think I will have 30 for them by the time I go down.

This all started because my friend Jannett (who'se place we go to, to sew) asked me to show her how to make one of my famous peg aprons.

It will be hard to part with them, as some of them I love and wish I could could keep.  Every time I go to Spotlight I see a little bit more material that I fall in love with and which I think would make a great little apron.

I was particularly excited about sewing an apron with this cow fabric for my good friend Lesley.  This fabric was from her daughter's "Cloth Cuts" business. and the material print of the cows was designed by Lesley.

I find that I am more productive if I spend a day just cutting them all out before I start the sewing.. This is the first batch that I sewed.

On a mission

I have found a new way to organise my threads and bobbins.  Again my friend Lesley had hers stored this way, so have now ordered myself some of these and it is a great way to keep them all together...

Such a simple idea but it really has made sewing life that bit easier..

Some of the finished aprons...

After another shopping trip to Spotlight, I have come home with these fabrics to have a play with also..

I will have to make sure I take some photos of all of the finished aprons to post before sending them off to my daughters to be sold..
