LUNCH DATE WITH STEVE AT THE BEACH...
Whilst we were away, Steve got a call to let him know that his cowl cover for his boat motor had arrived down at the dealership he got his boat motor from. He had also lost one of waterproof cheat sheets on operating his boat motor on the drive to Rainbow Beach, so he was keen to get his cowl and pick up some new sheets....
We headed down to Yeppoon to pick these up and decided that whilst we were there, we would head around to Roslyn Bay Marina and see if we could have lunch at the Waterline Restaurant. I have previously tried to book a table there but in the past it was always booked out so it was nice today to finally be able to get a table fr lunch.
We were pretty happy that we were able to get a table today. The restaurant was pretty busy with most tables full. We were given a table on the verandah overlooking the Marina. As we weren't terribly hungry, we decided to order a lighter meal. Steve ordered the Hokkaldo Scallop and Prawn Dumplings and I planned to order the BBQ Pork and Prawn Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls. Unfortunately they had sold out of these so my next choice was Keppel Bay Bug Dumplings, but they too were not available today. In the end I ordered the same as Steve and we ordered a side of chips to accompany our meal...

The Multi-award winning Waterline Restaurant is situated at Keppel Bay Marina and boasts the stunning views of the moored vessels in the harbour.
It features the best local beef and seafood, with a highlight on a paddock to plate experience through exclusive service of award-winning Banana Station Beef; from alfresco landscaped gardens and deck.
This restaurant started from humble beginnings when it opened in 1996 as the Waterline Cafe, a coffee and sandwich bar in the corner of the now Keppel Bay Marina building. Today it is an award winning restaurant having won the 2018 Qld Tourism Restaurant of the year.
This restaurant is also a pet friendly restaurant and we were surprised to find that all the outdoor eating areas had a puppy play corner set and even provided bowls and water for all dogs.
Once we had finished our lunch we went for a bit of a wander down to the water's edge to admire the many boats moored in the marina...
There were some very impressive boats parked in the marina and I think Steve was drooling there at one stage..As we headed back to our car, we stopped and watched a few fishing boats head back into Roslyn Bay heading for the Marina.. There were some pretty impressive boats coming in, one even had a camera crew that was filming their every move..

From the restaurant, we drove around to Double Head at the Roslyn Bay. We love this area or the coast and find the volcanic plugs there fascinating... I think I have learnt to appreciate the beauty so much more since our visit to Iceland. I had never really taken much notice of the amazing rock formations of Double Head until we saw it all in Iceland, except over there the sand was black..
The caves along the coast here also add to the interest of the this area of the Capricorn Coast...
The art on the building of the Information Centre is very similar to that on the toilet blocks back at the playground near the Yeppoon Lagoon. I am really loving how the Livingstone Shire Council has embraced street art and how it is growing on the Capricorn Coast... It is becoming a huge tourist attraction these days...
We have had a lovely day out together again. We are really enjoying the retired life, we really enjoy each other's company and are feeling so blessed that we do get to do life together. I am so thankful and grateful for this wonderful man who shared similar interests to me and who enjoys my company as much as I enjoy his..
