CLIFF RICHARDS CONCERT FOR MY BIRTHDAY..

Whilst we were at the movies on my birthday thay had a clip on the up coming Cliff Richards Concert that was going to be screening on Sunday 29th November.  Now Steve knows that as a teen growing up, I absolutely loved his music and we had been to some of his live concerts in Brisbane when he was in Australia.
They were absolutely fantastic.  The energy that he had then was amazing... He never stopped moving around on stage all night.  He was amazing and that was when he was 40 odd years of age.

This concert was recorded  this year when he was 81 and it still blows me away that he can sing for a solid two hours and still has the on stage moves.  They energy that he has for an 80 year old is amazing.

Ah the memories of hearing all the old favourites and he introduced us to, two of his new songs "Older" and "PS Remember Me".  Two songs I will be looking for on Spotify to add to my play list...

Anyway just a few photos from his concert..

How good is this guy for an 81 year old...

Although there were less than 20 of us in the theatre for this concert, those that were there were die hard fans of Cliff and they really set the atmosphere by really getting into his music, and singing along with him, clapping and swaying as he sang.  They were every bit as entertaining as the concert was itself...
He had at least three costume changes during the show...

The lighting for his concert was amazing also,  and I could only imagine how wonderful it would have been to have been there in the real audience.  They even had an intermission time during the concert.  We had 10 mintues where we could leave and go to the toilet if needed, and then the last 10 minutes were interviews with him about how he chooses his costumes, and what lighting to use etc.  It was really quite interesting.

Then it was time for the second half of the concert...

His musicians were very talented and he certainly praised them up and acknowledged that these concerts wouldn't be anything without them.  So good to see a true artist give credit to his support crew..
His lead guitarist was amazing...

It was an amazing concert and so much better than I expected it to be.  I wasn't sure how it would be on a movie screen, but you certainly felt like you were part of the audience and I would go to another...

I am sure that the real thing would be so be better but at his age it is highly unlikely that he will ever do a world tour again and this is the best it is going to be for me.  So thankful though that I got to see him in real life when I was younger...

It was such a lovely birthday present and made even more special by the fact that Steve came with me...

Lovely birthday treat to go to this concert

Was still feeling very much in a party mode when we left the cinemas..
Me and my man...

It really was a lovely way to spend the afternoon.  Feeling very spoilt...
