Scrapbooking Retreat 2010.
Another great weekend away with the girls. We had our annual scrapbooking retreat on the weekend down at "Cool Waters" at Yeppoon. It is a great place to have a retreat. We had lots of fun and even managed to get a few layouts done. Will share them in another post. I still need to do the journalling on them.
Our theme this year was "International" and the ladies really impressed us with their creativity and the efforts they went to, to dress for the occassion. Some photo shares from the weekend.
We had 20 campers booked in for the weekend, although a couple had to pull out at the last minute because of health reasons. Our two cooks Marg and Karen give up their weekend to come down and prepare wonderful meals for us - our weekend would not be the same without their wonderful support and servant hearts. We love you girlsSaturday night we had an "International Dinner" with an international cuisine and then because the girls had gone to so much trouble with the costumes, we had to have another photo shoot. We also played a few games and then scrapped the night away.
Katrina came from China
Ann came from India
Guess where Lesley came from
Noeline came straight from Mexico
Jannett arrived from ChinaMary came from Vietnam, Justine - a sherriff from the Wild West in America, Terri was a Red Indian, and Sally came dressed as a sherriff also. They really do go to a lot of trouble - they all looked soo soo good.
We ended up doing four group shots done this year - in on the play equipment outside our back door while we waited for everyone to come, a group layout shot, a group costume shot, and our official group shot. It really was a great weekend. Lots of scrapbooking took place, lots of chatting, lots of laughter, lots of paper, lots of mess. You always know its a good weekend, when no one wants to go home. We all figured an extra day or two would not go astray. It seems you just get on a roll and it's time to go home.
Finally one last photo, just had to share these beautiful hibicus flowers we found around the pool area - I doubt that we would find bigger or more beautiful flowers on a tropical island. Just had to take these photos to share.
Will be back in a few days to share the layouts I finished during the retreat.

Wow...you had a great weekend! I uploaded my retreat photos today too..
Looks like you had a wonderful weekend! Those hibiscus flowers are beautiful!
Yes I'll definitely be at the next origin game...can't wait! =D
That's so exciting! I hope we win then! I went to the 3rd game last year and we lost (but won the series) so it would be nice to see a win this year! You'll be stuffed but it'll be worth it! The atmosphere at Suncorp on Origin night is incredible!
