I've waited 30 years for one of these.

I was pretty excited yesterday when this arrived
I have been married for 30 years and this is our very first brand new dining room setting. I have always wanted a big table that would comfortably seat a couple of families at. Unfortunately our dining room is not that big so a large table was pretty much out of the question until we found this setting. It is an extendable table and seats 12 people comfortably, although it only came with 8 chairs.
When fully extended like this it pretty much takes up the whole dining room but heck what does that matter when you are all sitting around the table enjoying each others company.
The table was supposed to arrive at our place on Thursday evening, but unfortunately it didn't arrived until yesterday afternoon late so Steve didn't get to enjoy the first meal at our new table as he is in Brissie catching up with the kids. ( So Darl these photos are for you)Last night I set the table as today I was a host for our "Tables of 8". Once a term our church runs a "Table's of 8" where 8 different people are selected to all have a meal together. They usually mixed everyone up so there are families, young people and older people all getting to know each other better. The table arrived just in time. It arrived here about 5pm yesterday afternoon - I must admit I was getting a little worried as we had sent our old dining room table off to a Garage Sale yesterday, and I was beginning to imagine having all these people over for a meal and no where to sit them.
This was lunch at our place today. We had a great time all together - lots of chatting and lots of laughing, we had quite a few of the youth at our place - it was good to get to know them and have a good chat.

I feel so blessed this week, and I am thankful for.

1. My new dining room setting and how it allows us to have everyone sit at the same table together. - but best on all it was on SALE and we got it at a really good price.
2. Friends to share a meal with around our new table.
3. Steve being on long service at last - a whole 5 months of holidays for him.
4. Being able to get a specialist appointment at really short notice and having some tests done before I go way on our holiday.
5. Getting all my washing done and getting the house tidied and still time to sit and relax.
6. My brand new joggers and how comfortable they are to go walking in.
7. My baby who has been a bit help this weekend and who has come home early tonight so that I can have an early night.
8. God's amazing Grace to us in Jesus
9. Worship Music - a soothing balm to my soul.
10. A roof over our heads here on this earth and an eternal home in heaven.
